Project Title: New Search & Rescue Hangar Phase 1
Client: CHC Ireland Search & Rescue
Location: Gate 7, Dublin Airport
Design Team: Malachy Walsh & Partners, Virtus Project Management

This project involves the demolition of a temporary 596m² hangar and an office building. In their place, a new double bay, single storey hangar and attached 2-storey operations-control unit, maintenance and staff-facilities with a total gross floor area of 2006m². Works also included, a staff and visitor car park, improved road access, the re-alignment of landside/demarcated boundary fence and associated landscape work.  As the facility must remain operational 24hr a day, the project is being carried out in two phases.

Phase 1 involved; rerouting of landside/demarcated area boundary fence which requires continuously liaison with DAA and Airport Security; newly constructed headblock accommodation including, offices, gym, changing rooms, meeting rooms, lift, resting rooms, kitchen and DAA data control room.
